Morning! The past week in kaleo life has been interesting to say the least. We came off the biggest stretch of non-stop work (or so it seemed) on Tuesday, after our class of Theology, and then we were headed out to go snow caving on Wednesday/Thursday. After driving up to Mount Washington, we strapped on some snowshoes and made a bit of a trek up the mountain before deciding to stop and start digging. Our cave included myself, Rob, Joel, and Kurtis, and we spent the better part of the day just digging. First we had to dig down, then we made a tunnel leading in. At the end of the tunnel, we began sloping it up into our sleeping area so the cold air wouldn't get in as easily. Our area to sleep was quite large, we could comfortably fit the four of us in there. In the night, we weren't extremely cold, just a little bit, but it was a good experience, although extremely cold at night as we sat around the campfire, and putting on wet and cold clothes again in the morning was rough too.
When we got back from that, it was valentine's day, so me and Kelsey had a good night together. Friday was youth group again, where we played a variety of different games all involving potatoes. Potato bowling, making our versions of mr. potato head, going through an obstacle course with hockey sticks and potatoes, stuff like this. We only had 5 kids show up, and we found out that one of the girl's who had come in the beginning of the year had just had a baby, so that was kind of shocking. She's in grade 12. Sunday morning was being in the service for me, and to our surprise, we all got Warmland shirts! They're long sleeved, kind of a desert sand color (not a huuuge fan) but they're really nice. Anyways, I have a paper to write today and chapel in ten minutes, see ya later!
